Defeating Xu Yuhua of China in round 5, Armenia’s Elina Danielyan tops the standings of FIDE Women’s Grand Prix series with 5 points.
Lilit Mkrtchyan tied her game against Mongolia’s Batkhuyag Munguntuul and is 11th with 1.5 points. Danielyan and Mkrtchyan will face each other in the last round.
On February 27, the players enjoyed a day off. The organizers of the Grand Prix intended some special agenda for the participants. Most of the players, trainers and organizers embarked on the rest-day’s activities but some of them preferred to stay in the hotel and relax before the next games.
