3,189 carats of diamond were produced in Armenia in January 2011 against 3,078 carats during the same period in 2010.

According to the National Statistical Service, 12.5kg of jewelry was produced during the reporting period against 17.2kg in 2010. The slump in the industry was 27.3% compared to January 2010.
