Armenian police refrain from commenting on rally dispersal in Yerevan

Armenian Police refrained from commenting on the rally dispersal in Yerevan on March 3 morning.

Street traders, who gathered at the Armenian government building to protest against the decision of Yerevan Mayor’s Office to ban street trade were prohibited to approach the building that was cordoned by policemen.

Member of Heritage parliamentary group Zaruhi Postanjyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that the ban resulted in a clash between peace activists and policemen, who applied force towards the rally participants.

“Members of the Armenian parliament Anahit Bakhshyan and Armen Martirosyan were injured in the clash. They were given medical aid,” Postanjyan said.
