Member of the Republican Party of Armenia parliamentary group Hovhannes Sahakyan said that, in his opinion, the current social situation is not tense enough in Armenia to lead to a social unrest, like in Egypt or other Arab countries.
A revolution is unlikely to be organized in Armenia through Facebook or other social networks, Sahakyan told a press conference in Yerevan.
Member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary group Lilit Galstyan said for her part that the government involuntarily contributes to a social unrest in Armenia through its actions. She urged the Armenian authorities not to pin hopes on people’s patience and refrain from increasing the social tenseness in the society.
