Eduardo Schwank defeated Victor Crivoi 7-6 6-4 and Adrian Ungut beat Juan Mónaco 4-6, 6-2 and 3-6 in the only point Romania was able to save and leaving the score 4 to 1 for Argentina.

Argentina made the final 8 round after Eduardo Schwank and Juan Ignacio Chela won the doubles match against Victor Hanescu and Horia Tecau and led the winning streak to 3-0, Buenos Aires Herald reports.

Earlier, David Nalbandian beat Adrian Ungur in the first match of the series and Juan Mónaco defeated Victor Hanescu.
