New Trojan blocking computer work spreads on the web

A new virus, Trojan Balckmailer has spread on the web, Kaspersky Lab website reports.

The virus is masked under a freeware, capable of hacking the profiles of VKontakte social network users. The user is promised unlimited access to restricted profile sections of other users.

However, when clicked, the banner triggers the automatic installation of a Trojan-Ransom.Win32.Vkont.a, blocking the computer.

To get rid of the virus, Kaspersky Lab warns against sending SMS messages on the number indicated in the message. Instead, a service enabling automating selection of passwords should be used, according to Lenta.ru.
