EBRD forecasts 4.5% economic growth in Armenia in 2011

Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Erik Berglof thinks that Armenia has great opportunities to secure an economic growth exceeding the forecasted one.

“In my opinion, the economic growth will make 4.5% in Armenia in 2011. However, the country’s economic opportunities are not limited to this,” Berglof told a press conference in Yerevan.

He explained his forecast by the fact that Armenia’s economy has been affected by the global crisis, unstable political situation and inefficient business environment.
