Actual format of Karabakh talks should be restored, involving Artsakh in the capacity of a negotiating party, according to the head of the NKR parliamentary committee for foreign relations.

As Vahram Atanesyan told a news conference in Yerevan, the issue cannot be resolved without participation of Karabakh.

“No one can resolve the issue of NKR territory and safety in stead of Karabakh people and authorities,” he stressed. As he noted, if Azerbaijan agrees to compromise, accepting suggestions of mediators to ease the tensions at the contact line, the parties will be able to strengthen trust and achieve progress in conflict settlement in the foreseeable future.
