HTC to unveil Android tablet

A newly-leaked document from U.S. retailer Staples has unveiled a long line of Android slates soon to hit the shelves, in a bid to take-on the Apple iPad 2.

Heading-up the leak is a 10-inch Honeycomb slate from HTC, which the document reveals will be landing in June. While little is known about the upcoming tablet, if anything like the 7-inch Flyer, we can expect to see a 1.5GHz processor, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing webcam, dual external speakers, integrated GPS, 3G and WiFi connectivity, 32GB of internal storage and a 4000mAh battery. The HTC Flyer also arrives toting the latest version of HTC Sense, alongside cloud-based gaming provided by OnLive.

That’s not all Staples has revealed in its leaked tablet line-up, as it also confirms release dates and pricing for a host of other incoming gadgets. According to the document, the Blackberry PlayBook will be landing late-March, the Dell Streak 7 in April, and the webOS-toting HP TouchPad in June. There’s also mention of a 7-inch HP tablet, which is expected to launch in September.

According to dialtosave.com, here’s no word when HTC will be launching its iPad-style slate, although it’s likely to make an appearance at this month’s CITA expo in Orlando.
