Armenia participates in annual book exhibition in Paris

On March 18-21, Paris is hosting an annual international book exhibition, with Armenia participating for 3 consecutive years.

Armenian delegation to the exhibit is led by Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Arev Samuelyan.

Armenia’s slogan for this year is Armenia in Books, with the country featuring over 250 books of various genres, including children books, encyclopedias, fiction.

A number of presentations and lectures on Armenian art and history are on agenda. On March 15, world-famous French chansonnier, Armenia’s ambassador to Switzerland Charles Aznavour and Princess Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian will visit the exhibition.

Armenian exhibition hall is timed to 500th anniversary of book printing in Armenia.

UNESCO announced Yerevan the World Book Capital of 2012.
