Diyarbakir Turkish city celebrates Nowruz to the sound of Armenian artist’s music

Huge celebrations kicked off March 20 in Diyarbakir Turkish city on the occasion of Nowruz holidays with the participation of hundreds of thousands of citizens.

500 thousands of citizens gathered to celebrate the occasion while 17 check points to inspect the citizens participating in the celebrations were deployed.

The Kurdish politicians wore the Kurdish traditional costumes during the celebrations. The celebrations, which started after standing one minute in memory of the martyrs of democracy included speeches and songs.

Thousands of people celebrated the Nowruz to the music of Kurdish artist of Armenian origin, Aram Tigran, deceased in 2009, Turkish media reported.
