Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev decided to personally address the situation in his army and dispatched his security and defense advisor Vahid Aliyev to monitor the frontline and draw a report, which might further put an end to Defense Minister Safar Abiyev’s career, Yeni Musavat newspaper reports.

According to the report, Vahid Aliyev unexpectedly arrived at a number of military units, including the one in Shamkhor, where 7 soldiers were killed on February 20. Later, he will prepare a report that can determine Safarov's destiny and contribute to Aliyev's assuming the Minister's post.
