ICG pessimistic about Karabakh conflict settlement perspectives

The International Crisis Group (ICG) has released an annual report on Karabakh conflict, giving pessimistic assessment of its future perspectives.

According to ICG official website, despite the increased international interest, including Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s involvement, prospects of Karabakh conflict settlement are at the lowest level in recent years.

The ICG intends to prepare reports on disturbing tendencies in conflict zone, specifically, increase in the number of attacks and ceasefire violations.

Recommendations on decrease of tension on contact line will be released.

As the ISCG report said, beside Karabakh conflict, the Group will focus on Kosovo-Serbia talk as well as the Cyprus issue.
