According to Nokia Ove Store Blog, Chat 3.1 application launched for Symbian^3 phones: Nokia N8-00, Nokia C7-00, Nokia E7-00 and Nokia C6-01.

Beside from standard features of chat application like Chat 2.5, application Chat 3.1 added an exclusive new feature and updated look.

Similar to the Symbian^3 social experience, Chat 3.1 have integrated chat into phone’s Contacts application.

When browsing through contacts, it is possible to see if friend is available to chat and launch straight into a conversation with them in just a few taps. Sending an IM to friend is now quicker and more seamless.
