Armenia, Serbia open new page in bilateral relations

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian discussed with Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic development of bilateral relations.

Nalbandian is in Serbia with the delegation accompanying Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who pays an official visit to Serbia, the RA MFA press service reported.

Nalbandian said that the visit of Serbian President Boris Tadic to Armenia in 2009, as well as Armenian President’s official visit to Serbia, the agreements reached between the two Presidents ”open a new page in the bilateral relations, what is an evidence of the two countries willingness to boost and strengthen the bilateral cooperation.”

He added that regular ministerial meetings provide with the opportunity to follow the process of implementation of the agreements reached between the Presidents.

The parties referred to further boosting of the Armenian-Serbian relations, collaboration within international organizations, organization of consultations between the two ministries, expansion of the contractual and legal base, intensification of economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.

Besides, international and regional matters, specifically, recent processes in the Balkans and Caucasus were in the focus of the meeting
