Georgian port of Batumi suspends operation due to radiation

The Georgian port of Batumit has suspended its operation. According to the port administration, it is caused by the detected radiation in scrap metal.

Several groups of rescuers and experts in radiation safety work at the site to find the source of radiation in the scrap metal. It is not reported to which country the scrap metal, in which the radioactive container was found, should have been exported, according to Georgia on-line.
