Hockey fans forbidden to use vuvuzelas at Championship in Slovakia

2011 Ice Hockey World Championship will kick off in Slovakia on April 29.

Organizers of the championship have forbidden usage of vuvuzelas, hand-rattles and drums by fans.

According to a representative of the organization committee, the instruments are forbidden by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Besides, fans will not be allowed to take umbrellas, food and bottles with them.

Vuvuzelas became popular during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in SAR. Many football players and fans from European countries complained of vuvuzela noise during the tournament. Later many football clubs and union have forbidden usage of vuvuzelas during matches.
