Azerbaijan will become outcast if shoots down civilian planes

The head of a department at CIS States Institute, Mikhail Aleksandrov, commented on Azerbaijan’s threat to shoot down Stepanakert-bound civilian planes.

“I don’t believe Azerbaijan can dare shoot down planes, what would instantly put Baku regime outside the boundaries of a civilized society,” Aleksandrov said in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

According to him, if that happens, the international community might alter its position on Karabakh conflict and recognize NKR.

Aleksandrov characterized the remarks by the U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Mathew Bryza on the unacceptability of destroying Kabarakh-bound planes as typical in this case. “Azerbaijani Foreign Minister’s disclaiming the statements by overzealous officials is not accidental either,” he stressed.
