Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister of Turkey Bulent Arinc referred to Armenian Genocide issue at his speech in Washington.

“During that period, compulsory migration was imposed for safety reasons. Compulsory migration is not Genocide. We’re all familiar with the UN definition of genocide,” Arinc said, noting that Turkey has never been responsible for perpetrating genocide against Armenians.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister reminded about Armenia’s refusing Turkey’s suggestion to open archives and create a committee for investigation of 1915 events, TRT-Russian reported.
