RPA doesn’t expect anything extraordinary from April 8 opposition rally

Member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Gagik Melikyan doesn’t expect anything extraordinary from the April 8 opposition rally.

“It will be a regular gathering that will bring together a less number of people that the previous one,” he told journalists.

Asked whether the demonstrators can march into Liberty Square, Melikyan said that all people are free to enter the square if their actions do not go contrary to the law.

Besides, the MP is confident that Armenia will not face the challenge of early parliamentary or presidential elections, as the social discontent will wane, given the measures undertaken by the government to improve living conditions for the vulnerable strata of the population.
