Mozilla Firefox 4 available in Armenian

The Armenian version of Mozilla Firefox 4 is already developed and available at Mozilla.am, the website of Mozilla’s Armenian Localization Team.

As Hrant Ohanyan, a member of Mozilla’s Armenian Localization Team and initiator of HaySoft project, told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, “the team has worked on a translation of Mozilla Firefox 4 for a year.”

“Mozilla’s Armenian Localization Team was formed two years ago. We started translating Firefox 3.6 and then Firefox 4. We worked much on beta translations of Firefox 4. Now it’s done,” Hrant Ohanyan said, adding that their team consists of 5 volunteers and everybody can participate in the translation process registering at Mozilla.am.

The Armenian version of Mozilla Firefox 4 is available for Mac, Windows and Linux as well. It could be downloaded from Mozilla.am and Mozilla.org.

Hrant Ohanyan doesn’t possess any statistical data about the use of the Armenian version of Mozilla Firefox 4. “Unfortunately I am not aware about the number, but I’m one of the users.”

The aim of Mozilla’s Armenian Localization Team is to translate Mozilla products into Armenian and to promote the Armenian language in IT field. The work is coordinated two volunteers-contributors of Mozilla Foundation Armen Zambrano Gasparnian and Robert Sargsyan.
