On April 11, Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan met with Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Xiaoyu Zhao to discuss road construction programs implemented in Armenia, including North-South transport corridor.

Vardanyan also briefed on works conducted under the program on improvement of rural roads.

Besides, the parties discussed roads administration, the program on highways repair, establishment of logistics center in Zvartnots airport, construction of a railroad and new road leading to the airport.

A range of regional projects in road construction, as well as North-South railroad construction were in the focus of the meeting.

Zhao said that the ADB welcomes any suggestions and is ready to facilitate the works on feasibility study of North-South railroad construction, the press service of the RA Ministry of Transport and Communication reported.
