State Department Report on Human Rights runs counter with U.S. President’s position

The U.S. State Department Report on the situation with human rights in Armenia was full of outrageous contradictions where Karabakh was concerned, according to Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) press secretary.

As Eduard Sharmazanov noted, the report contradicts the positions of the U.S. President and State Secretary, who stated that Karabakh issue must be resolved based on the principle of the people’s right for self-determination.

In U.S. State Department Report 2010, Karabakh was phrased as “occupied Azerbaijani territory.”
