Board chairman of Analytical Center on Globalization and Regional Cooperation, political analyst Stepan Grigoryan said that political reforms are needed for solving the existing problems in Armenia.

There are still chances for a dialogue between the authorities and opposition, Grigoryan told a press conference in Yerevan.

“This dialogue should be transparent for the public and develop around organization of fair and free elections, but not mandates,” noted Grigoryan.

Besides, according to him, the ruling coalition needs to revise some aspects of its policy to reform the country’s political field.

The expert noted that the Armenian President made correct suggestions and comments recently, but the coalition has not taken actions to improve the situation.

Commenting on the fact that the police allowed the opposition to hold a rally at Liberty Square, Grigoryan said it was a correct political step, which is an evidence of normal relations between the authorities and opposition.
