Tigran Sargsyan urges to take reports on his resignation in their stride

Prime Minister: no deadlines were set for implementation of drastic steps to improve social situation in the country. Armenian President merely presented the tasks to be fulfilled.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan commented on recent reports about his alleged resignation. “No Prime Minister was ever immune from such rumors. Suchlike statements should be taken in their stride, as the head of the executive power is always in the focus of attention and criticism,” Mr. Sargsyan told a news conference in Armenian Parliament.

Referring to media reports suggesting Armenian President gave the government time until May for implementation of drastic steps to improve social situation in the country, Mr. Sargsyan stated that no such deadlines were set by the Armenian leader.

“Armenian President presented the short-, mid- and long-term tasks to be implemented,” the Prime Minister explained.
