It's only on April 18, International Monuments and Sites Day, that Armenia addresses the issue of monuments and historic benchmarks preservation.

Armenian Ministry of Culture urged to conduct cleaning of monuments in all Armenian regions, involving cultural heritage preservation specialists, servicemen and school students in the activities. Excursions and tree planting will be organized in the framework of the event.

The fist event was organized by the Minister of Culture in 2005. In 2009, cleaning works were organized jointly with Armenian Defence Ministry in Yerevan and Armenian regions.
