Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s address at PACE spring session yet another time proved him to be an unrestrained politician, according to a senior staff scientist at the Oriental Studies Institute.As Anush Hovhannisyan said, the address could be considered another scandal. Instead of replying questions, Erdogan lashed out against people who asked then. In this context, the expert referred to the question of the representatives of French delegation to PACE who were interested in Turkey’s attitude towards national minorities. Erdogan said France was not the country who could ask such questions.

However, as Ms. Hovhannisyan noted, Turkish President and Foreign Minister may mitigate unrestrained steps of the Prime Minister. However, Erdogan’s recent remarks proved his attitude towards national minorities remains unchanged, the expert observed.
