Adoption of anti-Armenian resolution by Hungarian parliament to affect the country’s image

A draft resolution with respect to the alleged “mass killings of Azerbaijanis by Armenians in Nagorno Karabakh” was submitted to the Hungarian parliament by The Movement for a Better Hungary (Jobbik), the third largest party in the parliament.

“If this information is confirmed, a similar resolution will have a very negative impact on Hungary’s international image. Though Jobbik party has little chance for the resolution adoption, but the fact of a similar resolution submission to the parliament is very negative,” a source in the governmental circles of Hungary told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter on condition of anonymity.

He added that Jobbik party has only 47 out of 227 mandates in the Hungarian parliament.

“It is the main opposition party, but I do not think that Hungary will take such an action and spoil its relations with Armenia,” the source said.
