Google doodles Charlie Chaplin with video

On April 15, Google paid tribute to English comic actor Sir Charles Spencer "Charlie" Chaplin not just with a static Google Doodle but with a specially themed Video Doodle to celebrate the actor's 112th birthday.

The black-and-white video is a short movie featuring gags borrowed from Chaplin's silent films. After the video ends, the user will be addressed to a Google page showing search results for "Charlie Chaplin."

Chaplin was born April 16, 1889 and died December 25, 1977. He was best known for his work during the silent film era, using a combination of mime, slapstick and other visual comedy routines.
