Artsakh President congratulates policemen, commemorates those killed

Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan issued an address in connection with the Day of Police.

“Respected servicemen and veterans of the Police, I cordially congratulate you on your professional holiday - the Day of Police. It has already become a tradition in Artsakh to celebrate this day as the day of estimating the work of the system and address words of gratitude to all those who has made the maintenance of law and legality in our country, protection of human rights and liberties as well as struggle against criminality the main work of their lives. It is a very difficult and responsible work, which should be based on professionalism, patriotism and high human qualities,” President Sahakyan said.

“I want to be sure that each of you is fully aware of the seriousness of the set tasks and the necessity of their successful solution. It is especially important for our society that has embarked on the path of democratic state building. The authorities in their turn will do everything possible to improve your working and social conditions, continuously assist in raising working efficiency of the system.

On this festive day I bow my head to the memory of those policemen of Artsakh who sacrificed their lives defending the Motherland. Eternal glory and honor to them! I once again congratulate all the servicemen and veterans of the Artsakh Police, as well as their families and wish peace, robust health and greatest success,” he said.
