US CO-CHAIRMAN OF THE OSCE MINSK GROUP HELD CONSULTATIONS WITH SENIOR FRENCH, RUSSIAN AND TURKISH OFFICIALS
YEREVAN, February 27. /Mediamax/. Deputy spokesman of the U.S. Department of State Philip Reeker said in Washington that "the U.S. is encouraged by Armenian and Azeri Presidents' decision to intensify their dialogue".
"We are working closely with the other OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, France and Russia, to help them find a mutually acceptable solution", Philip Reeker said.
U.S. representative to the Minsk Group, Ambassador Carey Cavanaugh, held consultations last week with senior French, Turkish and Russian officials on advancing a settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He will travel to Paris to meet senior Minsk Group counterparts to coordinate support for the March 4-5 presidential talks.
The United States stands ready to join international assistance efforts in support of refugee resettlement and economic reconstruction when a peace agreement is achieved, deputy spokesman of the U.S. Department of State said. --0--
