Armenians of Cyprus organizing march to commemorate Genocide

On April 25, the Armenians of Cyprus will be marching on Armenia street in Nicosia to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide that was perpetrated by the Ottoman Turkish government at the turn of the 20th century.

The march will be concluded with a commemoration at the Genocide Monument on Armenia Street. Archbishop Varoujan and the Armenian MP Vartkes Mahdessian will address the memorial.

We continue this struggle for justice and human rights without feelings of hatred towards the Turkish people. Our struggle is aimed against the Turkish Government that continues the policy of Genocide by denying it, the Armenian community of Cyprus said in a statement.
