Turkish Ambassador to U.S. displeased with Obama’s April 24 address

Turkish Ambassador to the U.S. Namik Tan expressed dissatisfaction with U.S. President Barack Obama’s address to the Armenian American community on April 24.

“The U.S. President’s address is a historical mistake, inadequate and one-sided political language,” Tan posted on Twitter.

“One-sided comments on historical facts do not contribute to establishment of peace and accord between the parties. The U.S. should encourage the Armenian-Turkish normalization, but not hamper it with similar statements,” Samanyolu quoted Tan as saying.
