Inside Facebook, the leading source of news and analysis on Facebook, announced about the release of Facebook’s new social plugin - “Send” button.

This button gives a possibility to share links as a message with certain people (choosing friends). The plugin includes like button as well. The Send button appears next to like button.

Facebook Platform Product Manager Austin Haugen said: “Since we first launched Like button, it’s been a great tool for broadcasting, but it never nailed the use case to share something relevant to certain people.”

The Developer blog of Facebook says how to add like/send button to websites. Already 50 websites like Wall street Journal and The Washington Post added this button to their websites.
