Armenian, Georgian FMs discuss implementation of agreements

On April 26, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze, who arrived in Yerevan on a working visit.

At the meeting, the parties gave high assessment to Armenia-Georgia relations, stressing that the development of new cooperation directions is a proof of strong ties between the two countries.

The meeting further focused on implementation of agreements reached, international and regional issues, Armenia-Georgia cooperation in the framework of international structures, the situation with the Armenian community in Georgia. The parties also stressed the necessity of a peaceful settlement of Karabakh issue.

Nalbandyan and Vashadze emphasized the need to activate consultations between the foreign ministries, Armenian Foreign Ministry press service reported.
