Under Secretary for Political Affairs William J. Burns met on April 27 with the Co-chairs of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group, Ambassadors Bernard Fassier of France, Igor Popov of the Russian Federation, and Robert Bradtke of the United States, and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk to discuss their recent and upcoming activities as mediators of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Under Secretary Burns reaffirmed the United States’ strong commitment as a Co-chair of the Minsk Group to helping the sides achieve a lasting, peaceful settlement of the conflict.

The international mediators are also expected to meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
