Armenian PM expects 6% inflation by end of 2011

High inflation rate was Armenia’s hardest challenge over the past two years and the government will aim to lower the inflation rate to 6% by the end of 2011, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said.

“Our goal is phased reduction of inflation to bring it to the pre-crisis level. All preconditions will be created for a lower inflation rate in 2012,” he said during the founding meeting of Armenian Trade Network summoned on the initiative of Diaspora Ministry.

The event brought together 30 specialists from 9 countries.
