Bryza pledges to help Armenian, Azerbaijani Presidents reach consent

U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza commented on the current status of negotiations for the Karabakh conflict settlement, as well as activities carried out to this end.

“It took years to reach the current stage of negotiations for the Karabakh conflict resolution,” he said. “The Presidents, Foreign Ministers and mediators tried to draft fair proposals for the two parties over the past years. Territorial integrity and nations’ right to self-determination were taken into consideration in these proposals. I talked to U.S. Co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group Robert Bradtke, who said there is progress in the negotiations. I personally will spare no effort so that the Presidents reach an agreement on important matters,” 1news.az quoted Bryza as saying.
