Tree planting dedicated to 19th anniversary of Shushi liberation held in Yerablur

VivaCell-MTS announced that the final event of the 2011 Earth Day Campaign - symbolic tree planting dedicated to the 19th anniversary of Shushi liberation - was held at Yerablur Pantheon.

Every tree planted at Yerablur will be named after a fallen warrior who sacrificed his life during the Karabakh war.

The preparatory works for the tree planting started in March. The staff members of the organizers as well as students from Yerevan State University have cleaned the territory and prepared it for the tree planting, the press service of VivaCell-MTS company reported.

The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) in cooperation with its General Partner VivaCell-MTS implemented this huge Campaign dedicated to the Earth Day. This year the Campaign was launched on April 1 under the slogan “Plant Your Tree in Your Country.”

The territory of the tree planting at Yerablur will be fertilized by recycled stalks of flowers laid at the Armenian Genocide Memorial on April 24.
