Armenia-Italy product turnover comprised USD 127 mil. in 2010

A delegation from Friuli–Venezia Giulia Italian region is currently visiting Armenia on the invitation of the Armenian Prime Minister to find new ways for implementation of joint Armenia-Italy programs.At news conference in Yerevan, the chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs Arsen Ghazaryan gave high assessment to Armenia-Italy economic and cultural relations.

In 2010, Armenia-Italy product turnover comprised USD 127 million with the majority of the sum constituted by Italian products' import to Armenia; export from Armenia to Italy yielded USD 7 million provided by processing industry and agriculture.

Mr. Ghazaryan characterized tourism, hydropower engineering, banking sector, ceramics, sanitary engineering, dentistry as prospective spheres on bilateral cooperation.

At present, 50 Armenian-Italian enterprises are operating on the territory of Armenia.
