Italia’s Friuli–Venezia Giulia region, Armenia’s Shirak region to sign cooperation agreement

Governor of Shirak region of Armenia Ashot Giziryan said that a park of Dilijan resort (Shirak region of Armenia) will be named after the Armenian-Italian friendship on May 11. Besides, an agreement on cooperation in economy, scientific and cultural fields will be signed with governor of Italia’s Friuli–Venezia Giulia region Renzo Tondo, Giziryan told journalists on May 10.

Entrepreneurs of Italia’s Friuli–Venezia Giulia region led by Governor Renzo Tondo are on a visit to Armenia.

Giziryan recalled that a delegation of Armenia’s Shirak region paid a visit to the Italian region in 2009, as part of which the first actions for cooperation between the two regions were taken.

Referring to implementation of certain programs in Shirak region, Giziryan pointed to furniture production and processing industry of agriculture with introduction of new production lines.
