Baku sees Turkey as betrayer of its interests, expert says

Richard Giragosian, the director of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies (ACNIS) believes the danger of a new war in Karabakh is high.

As the expert noted in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, there are two possible solutions to Karabakh issue – military and diplomatic, yet none of those can be used. “Baku is purchasing ammunition, establishing partnerships based on weapon supplies. Azerbaijan-Turkey, relations, however, have cooled, as Baku believes Turkey is betraying its interests,” Giragosian stressed.

“Baku sets no hopes on Iran currently engaged in its own problems: internal political struggle and preparations for a possible U.S. aggression caused by nuclear issues,” the expert noted, adding that Baku won't be allowed to start a war in foreseeable future.
