Currently in Paris, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with his French counterpart Alain Juppe to discuss bilateral relations, ongoing political dialogue and strengthening interparliamentary ties.

The two men touched upon plans to develop cooperation, some regional and international issues, Armenia-EU relations as well as activity of International Organization of La Francophonie.

The Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process was also in focus, with both Ministers stressing the necessity of a peaceful resolution.

The visit of French President Nicolas Sarkozy to Armenia to take place supposedly in the second half of the year as well as preparation for the visit of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to France were discussed during a meeting with the French presidential aide Jean-David Levitte, reported the press office of the Armenian MFA.
