NSC Secretary urges reform for intellectual property protection

On May 20, Yerevan hosted the first seminar on protection of intellectual property and free trade.

As Armenian National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan stressed during the session, society's awareness about the relevant legislation is essential in protection of its intellectual property.

“The EU expects Armenia to conduct serious reforms in intellectual property sector,” Baghdasaryan stated, urging for institutional and legislative reforms.

In this connection, the NSC Secretary expressed hope for the 2012 Armenia-Denmark consortium due in January 2012 to enable reforms in the sector through Euro 1,1 million to be allocated for this purpose.
