Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakossian said that international organizations should avoid involvement in those spheres, which are already within obligations of other international structures.
Specifically, the attempts to transfer the Karabakh conflict settlement to other formats raise concerns, since they jeopardize the conflict settlement logics adopted within the framework of the Minsk Group, Kirakossian told Yerevan-hosted international conference, titled “CSTO and South Caucasus: Prospects of Peace and Security in the Region.”
According to him, international organizations, as a rule, do not possess information on details of negotiations, since they are held under conditions of confidentiality.
“In such a situation, any imprudent step or statement even of the best intent can have a negative and irreversible impact on the process,” said Kirakossian.
He drew attention to the fact that Armenia anxiously follows the attempts to establish hierarchy in the principles for the Karabakh conflict settlement fixed in the OSCE and Minsk Group documents.
