Authorities, ANC busy forming rules for future parliamentary elections, expert says

Political dialogue between the authorities and Armenian National Congress (ANC) aims to form common rules to be applied during the future parliamentary elections, according to Caucasus Institute Director.

As Alexander Iskandaryan told a news conference in Yerevan, “the rules to be formed are also on the list of requirements of international institutions.” The expert accepted to seeing no premises for extraordinary elections in Armenia, there being no reason for the authorities to initiate them.

Iskandaryan views the span between the parliamentary and presidential elections as the most interesting period. Predicting a hot autumn before the start of the elections, the expert stressed his interest for Prosperous Armenia's prospects.

In conclusion, Iskandaryan expressed confidence the Republican Party of Armenia will win the majority. The expert was sceptical about Heritage’s chances to gain seats in the parliament.
