Turkey threatens Israel with exacerbated relations in case of Genocide resolution adoption

A member of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Suat Kiniklioglu believes Israel's recognition of the Armenian Genocide may worsen Turkey-Israel relations.

According to the parliamentarian, such steps are capable of throwing a shadow on Turkey's bilateral ties with different states. “The U.S. parliament was also attempting to adopt a Genocide resolution. Yet the resolution was prevented due to our categorical protest,” he added.

As he noted, Turkey, seeking fair examination of 1915 events, has addressed Armenia with relevant suggestions. “However, Armenia avoids opening its archives. Turkey hides its archives from no one, ready to reveal them at any point. To discover historic facts, Armenia must make its archives available, especially Boston-based archives of Dashnaktsutyun party,” SalamNews quoted him as saying.
