23rd karate championship under way in Armenia

The 23rd Armenian karate youth and junior championship has brought together over 200 sportsmen from all provinces of Armenia and Yerevan.

On May 28, the sportsmen in 14-21 are competing. Participants aging 8-13 will enter competition on May 29.

“The goal of the championship is to make karate more popular in Armenia and unite sportsmen around the idea of patriotism, and, surely, to select the strongest sportsmen, to be included in the national teams,” Secretary General of the Karate Federation, Gayane Gharibyan said in a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
