Armenia’s midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who won the Ukrainian championship and the country’s cup with FC Shakhtar Donetsk, said 2011 was one of the most successful years for Shakhtar, as the team managed to win the two prizes at once.

“It is always difficult to win champion’s title, but the most important thing is to retain the achievement,” Mkhitaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

On May 29, Mkhitaryan was present at Pyunik-Banants match of the Armenian championship to see how his partners in Armenia’s national team play. “The guys were notable for both good team work and individual skills in some episodes,” he said.

Mkhitaryan held several trainings with FC Pyunik, Armenia’s champion, to prepare for EURO 2012 Russia vs. Armenia qualifier due in St. Petersburg.
