$25m to be allocated within 2 years to increase Armenian nuke safety

USD 130mln, including USD 15mln from the NPP’s funds, has been spent since 1995 to implement measures aimed at improving the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) safety.

The United States and European Union have also assisted Armenia, allocating USD 60mln and 26mln respectively. During the upcoming two years the EU will provide additional USD 10mln, while Russia – USD 2.5mln (earlier it allocated USD 7.7mln). Besides, France, the Czech Republic and Great Britain and other countries also provided assistance, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources reported.
